What is Summer Stock Youth Theater?
Performance Club Theatre Company (PCTC)
At Performance Club Theatre Company, we are dedicated to empowering youth through performance! Our Summer Stock Youth Theater productions offer high quality entertainment at the historic Thalian Hall in the Ruth & Bucky Stein Theatre with cast sizes no larger than 30 members.
We rehearse two weeks prior to tech week:
- 2-3 hours/day (depending on your role & cast conflicts*)
- Saturdays are an ALL CALL
- We rehearse at various studio locations either from 10-1pm, 2-5pm for example. Not everyone- everyday except for SATURDAYS. Schedule Based on Conflicts!
Tech Week is MANDATORY Monday-Thursday 1-6pm (Final Dress is 6pm, Thursday). Show times are Friday-Sunday at 3pm and 6pm

Summer Stock Youth Theater is by AUDITION ONLY and FULLY CAST.
ALL SHOWS HAVE BEEN CAST! Dates include tech week:
- OUTSIDERS the Play - JUNE 22-28 - ALL TEEN CAST
- Once Upon A Mattress - JULY 20-26 - Middle/High School
- TROLLS Jr- AUGUST 3-9- Ages 8-13yrs - WILMINGTON PREMIERE!
FYI: We accept TEEN submissions from 2026 high school graduates prior to attending college in the fall. If you are on the "cusp" of an age requirement, please email us with your request to audition. *We are working on getting a bigger venue that could shift our tech and performance show dates a week earlier - STAND BY.
AUDITION - ACCEPTING VIDEO SUBMISSIONS STARTING FEBRUARY 1ST DEADLINE 12NOON on MARCH 1, 2026
The first step is to submit a video!
- Submit your audition video, song of your choice that reflects your personality, style and skills a cappella either by video upload (60-70 seconds) DO NOT EXCEED
- Linking an unlisted YouTube/Dropbox video - this is the easiest and preferred.
- Please video yourself in good lighting in front of a plain background
- Label your video LastName.First.Name.Age.
- And don't forget to introduce your self: name, age, school
- FOR PLAYS - Submit a monologue (60-70 seconds) from OUTSIDERS
PCTC CREATIVE TEAM
We are always looking for high school & college students to be part of our talented and committed creative teams. Have you always wanted to direct? Choreograph? or sit on the casting table? Seeking Junior Directors, Choreographers, Music Directors, Stage Managers, Set Designers, Costume Designers and more! If you have a passion for youth theater and want to be part of a supportive and collaborative production, we would love to have you apply! This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience and credit for your resume!

CASTING WORKSHOPS IN MARCH
Why have workshops instead of call backs?
Casting workshops allows the creative team to preview and gauge the casts' capabilities in a low-pressure setting. Workshops will cover music, choreography and scene work over a weekend. Workshops allow us to refine the show while providing a theatrical educational experience to the invited participants

Imagine no stress to learn the combination in minutes, let's mix and match scene partners, and enjoy the casting process!
After the workshop - we will finalize casting ASAP and begin rehearsing two weeks prior to tech week based on conflicts. We understand parents want to solidify their summer plans so we aim to cast before spring break and distribute materials to the cast so they are familiar with the songs/scenes by the first rehearsal. We understand there may be a few conflicts here and there but keep in mind TECH WEEK IS MANDATORY.

Once your child is cast, parent production support is requested to cover expenses of the show which are comparable to weekly summer camp fees but the experience of being involved in a production are far more rewarding! Parents can pay on-line in full or in monthly installments. Option to be a business sponsor instead will give your business logo exposure with all media associated with the show!
